SUREWEST EMAIL SETTINGS FOR OUTLOOK AND IPHONE

 HOW TO BACKUP SUREWEST EMAILS TO ANY OTHER EMAIL APPLICATION?

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR EXCHANGE MAILBOX USING OUTLOOK?

To connect your exchange mailbox using Outlook, you need to configure POP and IMAP settings for the same in the following steps:

1.   Click on Start, then on the Control Panel, and choose email accounts.

2.   Select your POP or IMAP account.

3.   Change the following settings on your email settings:

·        Incoming mail server: west.exch081.serverdata.net

·        Outgoing mail server: west.exch081.serverdata.net

·        Username: Your full email address

4.           Click on More Settings and select Advanced.

5.           Make the following changes to your port settings:

·        IMAP: Set encryption to SSL and change the port to 993

·        POP: Set encryption to SSL and change the port to 995

·        SMTP: Set encryption to TLS and change the port to 587

6.           Click on OK, Next and Finish. 

 

HOW TO SET UP SUREWEST EMAIL SETTINGS FOR IPHONE?

1.   Open Settings, click on Passwords and Accounts, and add your

account. 

2.   Click on the provider name from the list. If it doesn’t feature on the list, then click on Other. 

3.   Choose Add Email Account and enter the following details:

·        Your Name

·        Your SureWest email address

·        Your SureWest email password

·        A personal description

4.           Choose POP3 and enter the following information under Incoming Mail Server:

·        Hostname: pop.surewest.net

·        Username: Your SureWest email address

·        Password: Your SureWest email password

5.           Enter the following fields under Outgoing mail server and click on Next:

·        Hostname: smtpauth.surewest.net

·        Your SureWest Username

·        Your SureWest password

6.           Checkbox the email option and click on Save. 

7.           Once your email account is saved,  check again if all the settings are correct.

8.           Verify that the Server Port is 110 for the incoming server and 587 for the outgoing server.

9.           Click on Done at the top right to finish the process.

10.         Restart your iPhone to activate the settings.

11.         And voila! Your account is now set up! Open the mail app to use your account.
